Urban Story Ventures Data Center (Jailhouse Studios)
Chattanooga, Hamilton County, TN
Plans have been filed for Urban Story Ventures Data Center (Jailhouse Studios), a data center in Chattanooga, TN. Urban Story Ventures is converting the former Hamilton County jail (601 Walnut St, Chattanooga) into 'Jailhouse Studios,' a ~$100M mixed-use film/music campus that includes a small quantum-ready data center component built with Oracle partner The STEM Practice, serving the studios' production and AI-inference needs. County commission approved a $375,000/year lease in 2026; the plan has drawn a nearly 900-signature opposition petition.
