Saxum West Jackson Data Center
Jackson, Hinds County, MS
Saxum West Jackson Data Center is a planned data center in Jackson, MS, with Saxum Investment Group named as the developer. Saxum Investment Group is seeking to rezone roughly 190-230 acres near Forest Avenue and Interstate 220 in West Jackson from residential/ag to I-1 light industrial for a data center. A standing-room-only June 22, 2026 public hearing drew opposition over water use and noise, citing complaints from residents near the existing xAI Southaven complex. The Jackson City Council is delaying any zoning action on data center projects until it adopts new regulations; no permits have been approved.
