Reported capacity is 1,400 MW. Basin Electric and NextEra announced River Run Energy Center in Dec 2025: a ~1,450-1,500 MW gas-fired plant with a co-located multi-gigawatt data center campus on ~530 optioned acres in Mercer County. No formal proposal filed; Mercer County imposed a one-year data center moratorium on March 3, 2026 (later weighed lifting it early) and held an open house March 31, 2026.
