Pacifico Energy (energy arm of California-based Pacifico Group) sought rezoning for a data center and gas-fired power plant on London Road in Muhlenberg Township, Pickaway County, using an existing natural gas line on site. A resident petition drew 700+ signatures; the township imposed a 12-month moratorium on new data center applications in Feb 2026 pending state legislation. Unclear whether Pacifico will return after the moratorium expires. Distinct from EdgeConneX's Ashville project, also in Pickaway County.
