Karis: Merrillville Campus
Merrillville, Lake County, IN
Karis: Merrillville Campus is a planned data center in Merrillville, IN. 180-acre, up to nine-building data center campus on 101st Avenue east of Deep River County Park in Merrillville, Lake County. Merrillville's Data Center Citizen Advisory Committee endorsed the project and the Town Council approved zoning 7-0; still needs additional NIPSCO transmission capacity for full nine-building buildout, no development timeline set as of mid-2026. Merrillville has also received separate, less-advanced proposals from Wylie Capital (Broadway/93rd/Georgia St, ~$600M) and The Province Group ('Merrillville Tech Park'), plus a town-wide one-year moratorium on NEW data center approvals (June 2026-May 2027) that does not affect this already-approved project.
