Hogansville Hightower Road data center
Hogansville, Troup County, GA
Work on Hogansville Hightower Road data center in Hogansville, GA has stalled. Reported capacity is 600 MW. A 600 MW data center on 437 acres along Hightower Road in Hogansville, pursued by Luis Matta's Fertile Ground Investments LLC, was kept under NDA for ~18 months until open-records requests surfaced it in Oct 2025. A MEAG Power study put infrastructure costs near $300M with the customer bearing ~$154M. Rezoning from residential to industrial had not been scheduled as of Nov 2025; residents opposed it at a Nov 17 council meeting and a Dec 2 town hall. Hogansville adopted a data center ordinance in Aug 2026. Separate from Project West (513 acres near I-85/Hamilton Road, LaGrange). (Source dated 2025-11-26.).
