Edged Energy Prichard Data Center
Prichard, Mobile County, AL
Edged Energy Prichard Data Center is a planned data center in Prichard, AL. Edged Energy has proposed a one-story, roughly $93 million data center at the site of the former 911 center off Telegraph Road in Prichard. District 5 Councilman Roy Smith II hosted a public informational session on July 29, 2026, including a video tour of Edged's larger two-story Atlanta facility. About 50 residents attended and raised concerns about water use, power draw, noise, and truck traffic. The city council is considering a temporary data center moratorium, and Smith is negotiating community benefits including $1 million each for local high schools.
