DCIP DeSoto County AI Data Center

DCIP DeSoto County AI Data Center is a planned data center in DeSoto County, FL, with DCIP Group named as the developer. DCIP Group is developing a large AI data center complex in DeSoto County, FL on a decommissioned power-plant site near Roan Street, planning its own on-site natural gas generation to avoid straining the local grid. DeSoto County commissioners voted in March 2026 to rezone an initial 34-acre parcel; DCIP has since sought rezoning of adjacent parcels, pushing the proposed footprint toward 825+ acres, with the company citing over 1,000 developable acres. The project has drawn resident pushback over water use, noise, and air quality.
