Telcofacilities Bonita Springs Data Center (internet relay station)

Bonita Springs, Lee County, FL

Construction is under way on Telcofacilities Bonita Springs Data Center (internet relay station) in Bonita Springs, FL. Telcofacilities, a Miami-based subsea/fiber infrastructure company, is building a small facility at the corner of Imperial River Road and Bonita Beach Road, zoned as a 'data center' only because Bonita Springs' land code has no closer classification. Mayor Mike Gibson describes it as a two-story office-like building (~17,000 sq ft) that will relay data from a new transamerican fiber-optic cable, with ordinary commercial power/water connections rather than hyperscale AI infrastructure. Zoning was approved in 2025 and site work has begun.
