TECfusions Keystone Connect

Upper Burrell, Westmoreland County, PA

Construction is under way on TECfusions Keystone Connect in Upper Burrell, PA. The project is sized at 3,000 MW. TECfusions acquired the 1,395-acre former Alcoa/Arconic R&D campus in Upper Burrell Township, Westmoreland County in Jan 2025 to build a hyperscale AI/HPC campus the company says will eventually scale to 3GW. First building ('Building J') has been live since June 2026 (per company founder Simon Tusha, Aug 2026), running on existing grid power with plans to transition to on-site natural gas/microgrid generation. Project faces a land-use appeal filed Aug 25, 2026 by nonprofit Protect PT and residents challenging its zoning/permit basis, and the township has a moratorium on NEW data center development in place until Nov 2, 2026 (Building J's initial phases were exempted as already permitted).
