NYDIG Davidsen Atlas / Kraken Central gas-powered data center (Sidney-Fairview)

NYDIG DFM LLC plans NYDIG Davidsen Atlas / Kraken Central gas-powered data center (Sidney-Fairview), a data center in Fairview area, MT. The project is sized at 14.9 MW. Bitcoin miner NYDIG applied to Montana DEQ for an air quality permit to run eight 2,500-hp natural-gas engines on Bakken well-pad gas (otherwise flared) to power a 14.9 MW on-site cryptocurrency/data center near Sidney; DEQ issued a draft EA with public comment through June 15, 2026 and indicated it would approve. It is at least NYDIG's third gas-to-compute site in the area; DEQ project trackers list a companion 'Kraken Central' site with a final air permit (Nov 2025). (Source dated 2026-06-10.).
