Nexstar/WGN transmitter site data center campus

Elk Grove Village, Cook County, IL

Nexstar Media Group plans Nexstar/WGN transmitter site data center campus, a data center in Elk Grove Village, IL. Nexstar (WGN owner) won village approval in June 2023 to relocate its transmitter and develop data centers plus pickleball courts on the WGN tower site. In January 2026 Elk Grove Village extended Nexstar's construction deadline to 2027; no building has started. One of several new EGV campuses beyond those already tracked. (Source dated 2026-01-30.).
