Metrobloks IND-A1 (Martindale-Brightwood)
Indianapolis, Marion County, IN
Metrobloks IND-A1 (Martindale-Brightwood) is a planned data center in Indianapolis, IN. Reported capacity is 72 MW. $500M data center on a nearly 14-acre former drive-in theater site near 25th Street and Sherman Drive (2505 N. Sherman Drive), Martindale-Brightwood, Indianapolis. Designed as IND-A1, targeting 72MW at full buildout with 154,000 sq ft of whitespace, closed-loop cooling, and power via a direct AES Indiana contract. Faced strong opposition from the historically Black neighborhood over industrial burden and legacy lead contamination; Metropolitan Development Commission approved rezoning 6-2 on April 1, 2026, and the Indianapolis City-County Council gave final approval on May 4, 2026.
