Mattameade Data Center
Spotsylvania County, Caroline County, VA
Mattameade Data Center is a planned data center in Spotsylvania County, VA, with Amazon Web Services named as the developer. Reported capacity is 770 MW. AWS permit application (filed Feb 2025, public comment through March 15, 2025) for an approximately 1,143-acre, 11-building data center campus directly southeast of the I-95/Mudd Tavern Road interchange, spanning Caroline and Spotsylvania counties. Targets at least ~770MW of capacity by 2027. Part of Amazon's broader $35B Virginia investment through 2040, but a specific, separately-permitted site distinct from the county's other, more generic AWS I-95 corridor entry already tracked.
