Long Ferry Road Data Center Campus

East Spencer, Rowan County, NC

Edged (EDC Charlotte LLC) plans Long Ferry Road Data Center Campus, a data center in East Spencer, NC. 400-acre site near East Spencer/Spencer, Rowan County, bought by EDC Charlotte LLC (Edged) from Red Rock Development for ~$173M (Nov 2025); no end user identified yet. Over 100 residents turned out to oppose it; thousands signed a petition. Rowan County passed a one-year data center moratorium (Apr 2026), but this project -- already deep into a multi-year zoning review since 2021 -- was exempted from it.
