150 South First Street Data Center Reactivation

San Jose, Santa Clara County, CA

Plans have been filed for 150 South First Street Data Center Reactivation, a data center in San Jose, CA. The project is sized at 40 MW. Hines Interests filed a plan under the San Jose Innovative Project Pathway Program to reactivate a dormant data center inside its 179,800 sq ft mixed-use building at 150 South First St in downtown San Jose (also fills 11 empty ground-floor retail spaces). The data center, installed 29 years ago and shut down after equipment became outdated, would be upgraded from 5MW to 40MW of power capacity with modern high-density cooling. Part of a broader Paseo de San Antonio retail/restaurant revitalization.
