H5 Data Centers Cleveland Expansion (1625 Rockwell Ave)

Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH

H5 Data Centers Cleveland Expansion (1625 Rockwell Ave) is under construction in Cleveland, OH. H5 Data Centers filed a $30M permit application (June 2026) to fit out 59,720 sq ft on floors 2 and 4 of Building 4 at its existing 351,000 sq ft downtown Cleveland facility (converted from the historic Frankelite Co. lighting factory), plus new backup generators behind a decorative wall requiring demolition of adjacent buildings at 1522-1540 and 1616 St. Clair. Not previously tracked in the DB despite the facility operating since the late 1990s; this entry covers the active expansion project. Could be affected by a pending Cleveland City Council data-center moratorium.
