Fortalis Vidalia data center (former Fruit of the Loom / Vidalia Mills plant)
Vidalia, Adams County, MS
Fortalis Vidalia data center (former Fruit of the Loom / Vidalia Mills plant) is a planned data center in Vidalia, LA, with Fortalis Vidalia LLC named as the developer. Reported capacity is 50 MW. Oklahoma-registered Fortalis Vidalia LLC is buying the shuttered Vidalia Mills/Fruit of the Loom plant (closing deadline Oct. 5, 2026) to convert roughly a third of the 900,000 sq ft building to a data center, with an initial ~50 MW draw from the town's 104 MW substation. On Sept. 22, 2026 the Board of Aldermen granted an occupational license and a 4-0 option on ~208 surrounding acres; Mayor Buz Craft says no incentives were requested, 65-70 initial jobs are expected, and a 'transformational' announcement from the sister company is coming from Baton Rouge.
