Flint Hills Digital Campus

Flint Hills Digital Campus is a planned data center in Emporia, KS, with Kanza Park Place LLC named as the developer. Kanza Park Place LLC (spokesman Garrett Nordstrom) announced a proposed ~1,000-acre 'gigawatt-scale' data center campus in Emporia's Industrial Park IV (north side, west of Americus Road), Lyon County, on June 2, 2026. Evergy is conducting an initial system-impact study; a Planning Commission hearing on a proposed Digital Infrastructure Overlay District was set for June 23, 2026. No end-user/hyperscaler has been publicly named, and the project has drawn organized local opposition and scrutiny over the developer's true backers.
