EdgeConneX / Clean Cloud Energy Grant County data center (Sheridan)
Sheridan, Grant County, AR
EdgeConneX (site planner Clean Cloud Energy) has announced EdgeConneX / Clean Cloud Energy Grant County data center (Sheridan), a data center project in Sheridan, AR. Reported capacity is 800 MW with an estimated investment of $10 billion. Austin-based Clean Cloud Energy first pitched an $8-12 billion, ~800 MW data center on ~753 acres near Sheridan to the Grant County Quorum Court in June 2025; the project stalled in spring 2026 while Clean Cloud sought a buyer, then EdgeConneX signed a letter of intent in late June 2026 and entered a 120-day due-diligence period. The Quorum Court set siting boundaries (setbacks, noise, odor limits) in June 2026 and residents remain wary; a 400 MW solar array on 3,200 adjacent acres is planned separately. Capex reflects the low end of the $8-12B range. (Source dated 2026-07-21.).
