A new data center, Convalt Energy Northern Maine data center campus (East Millinocket / Katahdin region), has been announced in East Millinocket, ME. The project is sized at 500 MW with an estimated investment of $1 billion. Convalt Energy (which signed a 2022 agreement with Katahdin Region Economic Development Corp. for a $5B energy project) now markets a turnkey ~10,000-acre data center campus with dedicated water and behind-the-meter power: Phase 1 nameplate 500 MW, Phase 2 up to 2 GW, $1B+ investment, power available before 2030.
