Plans have been filed for Casa Grande Ethington Road data center campus, a data center in Casa Grande, AZ. Casa Grande City Council voted 7-0 on August 3, 2026 to grant Proposition 207 waivers settling roughly $146 million in landowner claims (Dale Willis and Vernon Barnes) tied to 480 acres of farmland on the west side of the city, bounded by Clayton Road, Gila Bend Highway, Ethington Road, and Bianco Road, clearing the land-use entitlement for a data center campus. Conceptual plans allow up to 13 buildings totaling about 3.25 million square feet with an 800 acre-foot annual potable water cap and on-site power generation; per the City Manager, no end-user/operator has been identified and site plan review and building permits are still required before construction.
