Builders Capital (which took over the shuttered MetroSouth Medical Center site from prior developer Lockwood Development Partners after Lockwood defaulted on $44M in loans) told Blue Island city officials in April 2026 it intends to propose a data center on the site, replacing a previously approved but abandoned senior-living redevelopment.
