Buena Vista AI Factory (NewYork GreenCloud) is an announced data center project in Ione, CA, backed by NewYork GreenCloud. The project is sized at 41 MW with an estimated investment of $171 million. NewYork GreenCloud acquired the idled 18 MW Buena Vista biomass plant in January 2026 and plans to rebuild it as a 41 MW biomass-to-pyrolysis power platform feeding an on-site, behind-the-meter AI compute hall; ~$171M planned investment. As of Aug. 2026 no construction permit or EIR had been filed for the data center portion, which needs a conditional use permit; Amador County residents have urged a moratorium.
