Buddy Ellis Road data center site, Walker
Walker, Livingston Parish, LA
A new data center, Buddy Ellis Road data center site, Walker, has been announced in Walker, LA. The project is sized at 360 MW. Rumored / unconfirmed: Livingston Parish rezoned a 691-acre Buddy Ellis Road tract from residential to I-2 heavy industrial on Nov. 20, 2025 at the request of Juban Land Holdings; a council member has said Microsoft controls the project while Parish President Randy Delatte says no data center plan has been presented. MISO filings show NextEra's 500 MW 'Steamboat Energy Storage' battery project in the parish (in-service June 2028) is driven by an unnamed customer needing 330-360 MW, fueling data center speculation; the parish council is now drafting power-plant and data center rules. Capacity reflects the reported customer load. (Source dated 2026-09-16.)
