AVAIO Digital Project Andromeda (Oxford Township)
Oxford Township, Erie County, OH
A new data center, AVAIO Digital Project Andromeda (Oxford Township), has been announced in Oxford Township, OH. The project is sized at 250 MW with an estimated investment of $5.5 billion. AVAIO Digital proposes a 250 MW, 1.2M sq ft four-building campus ('Project Andromeda') on 146 acres of farmland in Oxford Township; AVAIO would invest ~$2.5B in shell/infrastructure and a hyperscale tenant another ~$3B ($5.5B total), creating ~3,000 construction and 120+ permanent jobs. Requires Oxford Township zoning board recommendation and trustee approval; a heated town hall was held July 14, 2026 and an Erie County commissioner voiced doubts. AVAIO says it will seek only state (not local) incentives. (Source dated 2026-07-09.).
