Armory Midtown Data Center

St. Louis, St. Louis city, MO

Armory Midtown Data Center is a planned data center in St. Louis, MO, with Rod Thomas / Contour named as the developer. Local investor Rod Thomas and Las Vegas-based real estate firm Contour are proposing a $3.1 billion, 487,000-square-foot data center inside the former Famous-Barr warehouse building (partly used by Mers Goodwill) in Midtown St. Louis, with the adjacent Armory building converted to luxury office space for the data center's tenant. Proposed city conditions include water-use controls, opaque fencing, and a requirement the project not be deemed a 'nuisance'; the Board of Public Service delayed its permit vote amid continued negotiation.
