Alliance Casting Co. site data center (Applied Partners)

Alliance, Stark County, OH

Applied Partners LLC, a private operator, has announced Alliance Casting Co. site data center (Applied Partners), a data center project in Alliance, OH. Applied Partners LLC has committed to acquiring and cleaning up the former Alliance Casting Co. brownfield site at 1001 E. Broadway St. on Alliance's north side (Stark County) for a mixed-use facility, per Alliance Chamber of Commerce president/city planner Rick Baxter's announcement to City Council on September 21, 2026. Plans call for a 400,000 sq ft facility: 150,000 sq ft for an unnamed manufacturing tenant and 250,000 sq ft for a data center, with over $1 billion in anticipated private investment, ~1,000 construction jobs, and 50+ permanent jobs, using closed-loop water cooling. The site was chosen for its existing substation and power infrastructure from the former steel mill. Alliance has an 18-month data center construction moratorium in effect (adopted July 2026) and project officials say they will wait to build until it lifts and local standards are adopted.
